Terms and Conditions

Check-in/out policy

Check-in

  • Check-in is from 14h00-18h00 on day of arrival.

  • Every effort will be made to accommodate early or late check-ins if arranged prior.

Check-out

  • Check-out is no later than 10h00.

 

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed provided that the pet owner agrees and adheres to the following conditions:

  • The pet is house-trained, flea free, not prone to shedding, and not prone to damaging property.

  • Pets are not permitted on the furniture or beds.

  • An extra pet cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of excessive pet hair is found in the cottage.

  • The cost to repair any damage done by a guest’s pet, such as chewing furniture, staining of carpets (pet urine) will be charged against the guest’s credit card and/or deducted from the damage deposit. The guest will also be charged for carpet cleaning, odor removal, etc.

  • Waste removal – guests must pick up after their pet does its’ business in a timely manner. We Charge a fee for weekly cleaning if you don't wish to do so or we find you haven't done so. 

  • We do not limit pet size or breed; however aggressive or unruly dogs are not welcome for the safety of other guests’ children and our staff. If we receive one or more complaints regarding unnecessary and consistent barking or aggressive pet behavior, the guest, with their pet will be asked to leave. This may result in rental loss for the guest.

  • A cleaning fee of R500.00 is applicable for all guests who stay over 6 weeks who have pets. 

  • The guest agrees to monitor pet’s noise so that the pet(s) DO NOT DISTURB other guests and certifies that pet(s) will always be under the complete control of a responsible human companion and on a hand-held leash when outdoors.

 

The Swimming Pool

  • The pool is at your disposal from 09h00 until 17h00.

  • The use of the swimming pool is at your own risk.

  • No children are allowed near the pool without adult supervision.

  • Always keep the pool area neat and clean.

  • Keep noise level at the pool area low as other guests’ cottages are situated near the pool.

 

Environmental Policy

The owners of Grosvenor Cottages are dedicated to the protection of our planet's resources and we encourage our guests to help us by:

  • Switching off lights when not in use.

  • Ensuring that taps are always turned off after use.

  • Avoiding the unnecessary use of towels.

  • Turning off electric blankets when not required.

  • Turning off air conditioning when not required.

General Incapacity

Grosvenor Cottages cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevent the establishment from fulfilling its obligation to guests. However, the establishment will take necessary steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:

  • Unanticipated interruption to electricity, water, sewage to and from the guest house.

  • Industrial actions, civil uprising, or criminal activity.

  • Fire, frost, flooding, wind, or any other force major event.

Out of respect for other guests, noise levels should be kept to a minimum. No noise after 22:00 (We reserve the right to end a reservation if a guest becomes a disturbance/nuisance to others including management.

Please respect the house and its occupants.

 

Parking Lot

  • Parking is available free of charge for all guests. We offer covered parking for guests however this works on first-come, first-served basis. Guest have access to  at east  1x covered parking.

  • Do not leave any valuables inside your car while it is parked. Grosvenor Cottages does accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any such articles while your car is parked.

 

Valuables and Security

  • Whilst every care has been taken by Grosvenor Cottages management to ensure the safety of guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security.

  • Cottages and Studios must always remain locked when absent.

  • The gate automatically closes after several seconds, however, as a safety measure, we ask all guests to use their remote to close the gate when entering and exiting the property.

 

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottages and studio units.

  • Smoking is permitted outside the cottages in your private garden or the patio areas. Please use the ashtrays placed in the garden or patio to dispose of cigarettes.

 

Lost Key Policy

  • A lost room key will incur a R400,00 charge. Immediate payment is required for a replacement.

Indemnity Notice

The property owners and their related parties shall not be held liable for loss, damage or injury to property or person caused by reason of any defect, negligence or other wrongful act of omission; and strike, war, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restrictions or regulations, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control. The guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, against the Proprietor, whether arising from the Proprietor's default, negligence or otherwise.

The owners reserve the right to withdraw or shorten any overnight package at any time and to make such changes and alterations as may be found necessary to ensure the safety of all guests

 

By payment of any amount to Grosvenor Cottages, you acknowledge, accept and agree to the above indemnity.
